There’s something special about photographing a wedding in the heart of Downtown Detroit, and Casey and Aaron’s day at the historic Gem Theatre was exactly that.

The getting-ready moments were filled with excitement, laughter, and all the little details that made the day uniquely theirs. These moments are some of my favorites, the ones that happen naturally before the celebration really begins.

Then came the ceremony, surrounded by the timeless character of the Gem Theatre. Casey and Aaron’s joy was impossible to miss, from the emotional moments of the ceremony to the smiles they shared once they officially became husband and wife.

Afterward, we took advantage of the energy and beauty of the Gem Theatre for portraits, capturing a mix of classic images and candid moments. And then it was time to celebrate surrounded by their favorite people, with plenty of laughter and dancing.

Looking back through their gallery, what stands out most isn’t just how beautiful the day was. It’s how alive it felt.

Casey and Aaron’s wedding was full of genuine emotion, meaningful details, and the kind of moments you wish you could bottle up and relive forever. It was an absolute joy to document their story at the Gem Theatre.

Matt and Sam chose Belle's Lounge by Valentine Distilling Co. in Ferndale, Michigan for their wedding day. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for capturing genuine moments between two people ready to commit to each other. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere felt intentional and thoughtful.

What made this day stand out was the distinct character that emerged from the space itself. Belle's Lounge brought its own personality to the celebration. The decor choices paired beautifully with the venue's existing charm, creating something that felt both curated and natural.

The decorative choices reflected careful planning. Matt and Sam selected pieces and arrangements that complemented the venue rather than fighting against it. The result felt cohesive. Centerpieces added elegance without overwhelming the space.

I loved hearing Matt and Sam read their own vows during the ceremony. Then hearing all the speeches during the reception tied everything together for a beautiful day of love and laughter.

There's something special about photographing a wedding in someone's backyard. Lese and Heather chose to celebrate their marriage at home in Lexington, MI, and the decision paid off in every way. Their intimate gathering had a relaxed feel that you simply can't manufacture. The couple created an environment where their personalities shined through in every detail.

One of the highlights of the day was the fashion. Lese and Heather didn't follow the typical wedding playbook, and we loved that about them. Their outfit choices reflected who they are as individuals and as a couple. Every piece told a story about their style and approach to the day.

A Perfect Day in Saint Clair Shores

Meghan and DJ's wedding day was everything a couple could hope for. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this would be a special celebration. The energy was positive, the people were genuine, and the setting provided everything we needed for a great time.

Photographing Meghan and DJ's wedding reminded me why I do this work. It's not just about technical skill or equipment. It's about capturing real moments, real emotions, and real celebrations. When a couple chooses genuine connection over perfection and they surround themselves with people they love, everything else falls into place.

I'm grateful I got to be part of their day in Saint Clair Shores. The photographs tell the story of a couple who are excited about their future and surrounded by people who care about them. That's what matters most.

A Celebration Surrounded by Nature

Photographing Shelly and Bill's wedding at Detroit Abloom in Detroit, Michigan, was a genuine pleasure. Their special day felt different from the start. Instead of a massive guest list, they chose something more meaningful: an intimate gathering with the people who matter most.

The couple's vision came through in every detail. They wanted their wedding to feel personal and connected to the natural world around them. Detroit Abloom provided the perfect setting for this approach. The venue's gardens and natural surroundings created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and relaxed.

The wedding day of Tabitha and Dennis was one for the books. Set in the picturesque town of St. Joseph, Michigan, the couple chose the charming Shadowland on Silver Beach as their venue. The ceremony was nothing short of perfection, and the reception was a blast.

The day started with the couple getting ready separately. As a photographer, capturing the pre-ceremony moments of anticipation and excitement is always a favorite. From the delicate details of the bride's dress to the groom's sharp suit, every element was beautiful.

The ceremony took place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, where the beautiful stained glass windows created a warm and welcoming setting. As Tabitha walked down the aisle, the church was filled with love and joy. It was a beautiful ceremony, and every word spoken felt meaningful to everyone present.

But the best part? It was the reception. As soon as the formalities were over, the party really started. A packed dance floor became the highlight of the evening, with guests letting loose and really enjoying themselves. The carefree, go with the flow vibes were contagious, making it an unforgettable night for everyone.

One of the most memorable moments was when Tabitha and Dennis took to the dance floor for their first dance as a married couple. The look in their eyes spoke volumes about the love they share.

Overall, this wedding was a true reflection of Tabitha and Dennis. It was laid back, yet elegant. Joyful, yet intimate. And above all, it was filled with love, laughter and a whole lot of dancing. It was an honor to capture their special day and create memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Hannah was perfection. We had our wedding on the Ovation Yacht, and it rained the whole day. Hannah helped things go seamlessly and was helpful beyond expectations. Thank you for making our day so special.

Danielle & Matt

If you are searching for a photographer, look no further. Our session with Hannah was so much fun, and the photos just blew us out of the water with how great they are. We were constantly laughing, and Hannah made us feel so comfortable. We have found our photographer for all our milestones in the future

Hannah did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding photos! She has such a great personality. We will definitely be booking her for future events!

Dharma & Jake

Hannah was my favorite vendor I hired for my wedding. She answered every question I had and explained how to pose for pictures well. We got our wedding pictures back to us way earlier than what was in the contract, and does incredible work! I highly recommend her!
