There’s something special about photographing a wedding in the heart of Downtown Detroit, and Casey and Aaron’s day at the historic Gem Theatre was exactly that.

The getting-ready moments were filled with excitement, laughter, and all the little details that made the day uniquely theirs. These moments are some of my favorites, the ones that happen naturally before the celebration really begins.

Then came the ceremony, surrounded by the timeless character of the Gem Theatre. Casey and Aaron’s joy was impossible to miss, from the emotional moments of the ceremony to the smiles they shared once they officially became husband and wife.

Afterward, we took advantage of the energy and beauty of the Gem Theatre for portraits, capturing a mix of classic images and candid moments. And then it was time to celebrate surrounded by their favorite people, with plenty of laughter and dancing.
